We are pretty much at a stand still in our project. We are trying to post all our pictures on our web page at the moment. We have wrote letters to the editor of our local newspaper, we will keep you informed on how the letters come across. I have emailed our state rep. but have yet to hear from her.

This the letter I wrote to the Hart County News Herald. Should appear in next weeks paper.


Dear Editor,

I have been a resident of Bonnieville for nine years now. Ever since I can remember there have been some buildings in desperate need of repair.
In my opinion I believe these buildings should have been condemned and torn down a long time ago. The way I see it is that if these buildings are of no use to us, then way are they still standing? Not only are they an eye soar but also could become a hazard to small children.
I have found it hard to do anything by my self. The people who own these buildings should have taken it upon themselves to do something about the problem. These buildings have stood long enough; it is time for them to come down.
Maybe I am the only one to notice how junkie Bonnieville is beginning to look, or maybe I am just the only one who cares. This subject has never been brought up in the past, so maybe the people of Bonnieville enjoy being seen as a town in decline.
The reputation Bonnieville has gained is bad enough. Why not do something to better the community, and bring Bonnieville out of the decline that it is in.
